I'm a 19 year old Dutch student from Haarlem, the Netherlands. I live at Stanford in Palo Alto and I'm interested in software development and design, classics and skateboarding. You can read my thoughts on technology, school, the future etc here.
The impact I could have using the right tools is what I realized when I launched my first app back when I was 12 years old. In addition to that, I understood that working together with other people is really fun. The first apps (AppWall, PhotoWall, Inside iOS 5, App Match, Social Match, Guide for iOS 7) I built were not 'world changing' at all, those projects are the ones that taught me a lot though and have opened the doors to the world of technology entrepreneurship. Over the years I have developed design skills (Sketch and Framer.js), but also skills in Objective -C, C++, Java, HTML, MySQL, PHP and a little bit of Swift. My first real internship was at Adyen (adyen.com) where I helped automating their recruiting process by building an in-house tool which helps them find, match and hire the right people for the right jobs.
I'm studying Symbolic Systems (Human Computer Interaction) at Stanford University and am a Sophomore right now. My study, little (or big!) projects and having a good time with my friends is what I'm focussing on now.
